The Digital Media Lab is a membership-based workspace for digital editing, printing, and scanning – available on a do-it-yourself basis or with one-on-one guidance. Six separate 25” Apple computer stations offer state-of-the-art equipment for use by the hour. Digital Media Lab + Hours:
The Digital Media Lab is located at 25 Dederick Street in Kingston, NY. The Lab is open for printing and scanning Wednesday – Saturday by appointment only.
Wednesday: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Thursday: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Friday: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Saturday: 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm
First Time Digital Media Lab users:
A free 30-minute orientation is required to familiarize yourself with the new space, as well as meet with knowledgeable CPW staff to answer any questions you may have. Please note that orientations do not include training on equipment. Once you have completed your one-time orientation, you may schedule time using our calendar below.
Digital Media Lab Pricing:
The CPW Digital Media Lab Membership is a $150 annual membership that includes the following benefits:
- 6 free Digital Media Lab hours per month for member-only workstations (Stations A-E), $10/hr over 6 hours
- $0.08/sq inch for ink only/bring your own paper, $0.10/sq inch for ink and paper provided, $0.12/sq inch for ink and premium paper provided
- 10% discount on CPW’s premium printing and scanning services
- 20% discount on film processing at picturehouse + thesmalldarkroom

Digital Lab Scheduling Calendar:
After completing the one-time orientation, Digital Media Lab members may schedule time using the scheduling calendar. Time is scheduled based on stations, with each station utilizing specific equipment. When scheduling please ensure that the station you are booking includes the equipment you are interested in using. Reserving time in the Digital Media Lab does not ensure one-on-one assistance. Please see one-on-one services below for more info.
