UPCOMING EVENTS

On Thursday, October 8, we welcome Pia Paulina Guilmoth to “Meet the Artist”. Pia will present selections from her three most recent books, as well as b-sides and unreleased material spanning the past 10 years of her career. She will have a selection of books and prints for sale throughout the evening.

On Thursday, November 12, we welcome Cansu Korkmaz to “Meet the Artist.” Korkmaz will present her self-published photobook, Quite a While, alongside the body of photographic work from which it emerged. She will discuss the project’s development, its exploration of memory, intimacy, displacement, and personal history, and how she transformed photographs into a book through fragmentation, sequencing, and collage. Korkmaz will have copies of her book for sale throughout the evening. This event will be live-streamed on CPW’s YouTube page at 6pm.

On Thursday, December 3, we welcome Rania Matar to “Meet the Artist." As a Lebanese-born American woman and mother, Matar has dedicated her artistic practice to exploring both sides of her cultural background, cross-cultural experience, and personal narrative, in addressing issues of personal and collective identity, through photographing girls and women both in the United States where she lives and in the Middle East where she is from.
