The Center for Photography at Woodstock (CPW) invites one and all to an artist talk featuring photographers Steven Molina Contreras and Cheryl Mukherji. This is the first of a series of artist talks by CPW artists-in-residence for 2022. Both artists will show new projects created during their month-long residency in Woodstock. Attendance is free and open to the public. This event will be livestreamed on CPW’s Facebook and Instagram.
About the artists
Steven Molina Contreras is a visual artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Molina Contreras works with photography to engage with themes of migration, sacrifice, and divinity. He does this by collaborating with his family on pictures in the United States and El Salvador.
Cheryl Mukherji is a visual artist and writer based in Brooklyn, New York. In her current work, Mukherji explores the idea of origin and inheritance, which is embedded in the figure of her mother and her presence in the family album. She explores this by using photography, text, and video.

This artist talk will take place on Friday, July 8 from 5 – 6 pm at Rezny Gallery at 76 Prince Street in Kingston, NY. Attendance is free and open to the public.
