On Thursday, August 1, we welcome seniors (legends) and teens (legends in the making) along with artist Brenda Ann Kenneally, to a special screening of work that concludes their three-week, book-making workshops.
A CPW collaboration with Kenneally, these workshops took place at Woodland Pond Senior Living Community in New Paltz, and at CPW’s Dederick Street space. Kenneally, a Troy, NY native, CPW exhibitor, and Guggenheim Fellow, is one of the most powerful documentary photographers working in America today; her famous scrapbook workshops draw out the unique plots of individual lives, young and old alike. “Grown Upstate,” the latest installment of her “Upstate Girls” series, exhibited at CPW last summer, and will be on view at Perpignan’s Visa Pour L’Image 2024 this fall.
