Doors at 5:30pm. Artist talk at 6pm.
25 Dederick Street, Kingston, NY
Please join us during Upstate Art Weekend on June 25, for an extra special “Meet the Artist” talk + party. All are invited to 25 Dederick Street to honor the fabulous Women Photographers Collective of the Mid-Hudson Valley (WPC). Members of this dynamic group of photographers will present their work, and join us after for a celebratory party. All are invited! The WPC and CPW are particularly intertwined this season: sixteen of their members are featured in our current Community Gallery exhibition Gestures of Care, Resilience, and Connection, and three are included in our current Upstate Photography Biennial.
The “Meet the Artist” talk will feature WPC members Shari Diamond, Kay Kenney, Lori Grinker, and Meryl Meisler presenting the work of all 25 members of the Collective. The presentation will begin at 6pm, followed by a discussion. Then, there will be a reception with food and drinks, and visitors will be able to visit both exhibitions and see the Collective’s remarkable works on view. This presentation will be live-streamed on CPW’s YouTube page at 6pm.
We look forward to having our community meet these amazing photographers, and we encourage RSVPs!

Join us on select Thursday evenings at CPW, when we host illuminating talks with local and visiting artists. “Meet the Artist” allows the public to get to know new work, to hear about artistic processes, and to meet friends and other local artists. The evening takes place at CPW’s gallery at 25 Dederick Street in Kingston, NY. It is free and open to the public. Coffee, tea, and snacks are served.
“Meet the Artist” is made possible by generous grants from the Arnold & Augusta Newman Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts.
