Join CPW in creating a booklet that you and your family will cherish for years to come. Participants will interview each other, make family portraits, and hand-make a book to take home. All materials will be provided. All ages are welcome.
About the Instructor
Jill Olesker is an arts educator and storyteller. She has been telling stories for over 20 years in schools, libraries, and nature centers. She is in love with stories in their many forms- oral history, teaching writing and poetry, and integrating art and oral history. Jill was involved with a Kids History Club she co-founded at the Historical Society of Woodstock. Jill believes that telling stories and listening to each other help create community and a sense of joy and wonder.
Please join CPW every Saturday in January to explore various photographic techniques featured throughout its IBM Tech City-based exhibition, Parallel Lives. Using the spacious backdrop of over 150 photographic works as inspiration, CPW welcomes art lovers of all ages to join in learning new processes, discovering new work, and spending time with friends and family. All activities are free, but please RSVP. Beverages and light snacks will be provided.
