Open Call to Local Artists for Inaugural CPW Community Gallery Exhibition

CPW is excited to announce Free, For All, an open call to local artists. Submit a single framed work to us and we will include it in a photography exhibition that will inaugurate our Community Gallery in the Van Slyke & Horton building, our new home at 25 Dederick Street in Kingston, New York.
All artists from Kingston and the greater Hudson Valley who are working with photography are welcome to submit work. We invite participants to think inclusively about photography’s role in creative and critical explorations of the world around us. Work must be dropped off at CPW in person to be included.
- Work must be framed and/or mounted and ready to install. Please include hanging hardware (d-rings, wire, or cleats).
- Only one framed work per submitter will be accepted.
- Framed dimensions of work must be no larger than 16 x 20 inches. Work must be dropped off and collected in person at 25 Dederick Street, Kingston, New York.
- Work must be accompanied by a completed information sheet and agreement form, which will be provided on site during drop-off periods.
- Schedule for drop-off at CPW: Thursday, January 9 – Saturday, January 11, noon – 4pm.
- Schedule for pick-up at CPW: Thursday, February 20 – Saturday, February 22, noon – 4pm.
NOTE: CPW reserves the right to withhold showing any work that does not meet the guidelines specified above or that violates our mission.
About
The CPW Community Gallery is a new space dedicated to fostering connections between diverse local communities using photography. It will host a rotating schedule of month-long exhibitions featuring work by CPW members, local artists and students, and projects by local nonprofit organizations. CPW is committed to being a welcoming hub for critical and creative explorations of photography from varied perspectives.
