Please join us for the opening of the Bard College 2024 senior thesis exhibition. Running Through The World Like An Open Razor is curated by Ray Camp with assistance from Sara J. Winston, and features the work of Sebastián Barreto, Campbell Brophy-Nash, Ray Camp, Ray Coco, Harrison Edington, Ash Fitzgerald, Natalia Gillespie, Reyna Martinez, Phú Nguyễn, Harper Stone, and Sullivan Sweet.

From the students’ curatorial statement:”This exhibition, comprised of work by Bard College’s photography class of 2024, explores our capacity to bend and confront reality through the photographic image. Variously, the work explores the formation of identity across and within national borders, historical narratives, and cultural and technological conventions. Much of it addresses our distinctive relationships with the world around us, formed by the interaction of nature, memory, popular culture, gender and sexuality, and trauma, both personal and cultural. In each of our practices, the capacity of photographs to act as containers of memory, meaning, and identity is examined. We are running through the world like an open razor; how might images capture that?
NOTE: That same day, we are also opening our exhibition, Pride and Protest: Photographs by Fred W. McDarrah, June 1, 5-7pm at 474 Broadway. Start there and walk on over to 25 Dederick for Bard’s event!
