The Center for Photography at Woodstock launches the second season of the Professional Practices Artist Network (PPAN)
(Woodstock, NY, March 31, 2021) – The Center for Photography at Woodstock is pleased to announce the 2021 schedule for the Professional Practices Artist Network (PPAN), launching April 21, 2021.
The PPAN network was created to demystify the art of promotion, outreach and professional practices, so that artists can become active agents in their own success.
Photographers will gain confidence as they learn the business side of art, expand networks, and practice the skills necessary to land more assignments and opportunities while making lasting connections with peers. PPAN provides artists with the skills, support structure and understanding of the industry to greatly accelerate their careers. Participating artists will gain access to a private group of peers — encouraging resource-sharing, discussions and community growth.
PPAN 2021 will launch as a eight-month virtual course with webinars and networking opportunities. This year’s presenters include: Clinton Cargill, Kris Graves, Aline Smithson, Madeleine Curtrona, Susana Torruella Leval, Mary Virgina Swanson, and more.
Webinars will discuss editing your portfolio, book publishing, curation online and for museums, and the business side of artmaking — including legal aspects and copyright, pricing and fundraising strategies. Registration includes ten webinars, networking events and artist show-and-tells. This year-long course is $250. Discounts are available to current CPW advanced members and previous PPAN attendees.
