This hands-on workshop will immerse students in the process of archival pigment printing with a focus on understanding the language of color and its profound impact on photographic images—both physically and emotionally. Through group critiques, discussions, and one-on-one support, students will learn strategies for making informed choices in color management, image processing, and print production. Participants will receive individual guidance throughout the entire process of creating a finished print. Each student will leave with a 30 x 44 inch print on Premium Photo Lustre of their own work at the end of the workshop.
WHAT TO BRING: 2-3 high-resolution files saved as TIFFs. Please bring original files, if edited in case we need to make adjustments.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS:
ANDREW MOORE is widely acclaimed for his photographic series, usually taken over many years, which record the effects of time on the natural and built landscape. His extensive series includes work made in Cuba, Russia, Bosnia, Times Square, Detroit, the High Plains, the American South, and, most recently, the Hudson Valley. Moore’s photographs are held in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Yale University Art Gallery, and many other prestigious institutions. He has received a Guggenheim fellowship and presently he teaches a graduate seminar in the MFA Photography, Video, and Related Media program at the School of Visual Arts. He is represented by the Yancey Richardson Gallery in New York City.
RYAN RUSIECKI‘s work examines the intersection between photography, ecology, and history. In addition to his own practice, Ryan works as an imaging technician for various artists and organizations in the Hudson Valley and NYC, including at CPW.
