Fertile Ground: Collaborations with Family
Join cousin collaborators Ileana Ramirez and Sara J. Winston, alongside mother-daughter duo Anna Leigh Clem and Lori Van Houten, for a panel exploring their creative familial partnerships. The discussion will center on their collaborative processes and how these kinship-based projects ultimately evolve into photobook form. Winston and Ramirez’s Sugar, Honey, Ice Tea is currently in CPW’s Biennial.

Photographer and publisher Nick Meyer will discuss his new publication, Good Bones– a visual exploration of parenthood, history, anxiety, and the uneasy rhythms of contemporary life.

Join the Good Neighbor team Adriana Wong and Danielle Pham for a discussion on how an idea for a local events listing went from a single folded b&w xerox’d zine to a full- color laser & RISO printed publication now featuring and uplifting a vibrant community of artists, comedians, musicians, arts organizations.

Artist talk with David La Spina
Photographer David La Spina presents Viewshed, published by Emily Sheffer’s Dust Collective, in conversation with photographer Tanya Marcuse, whose third title with La Spina’s ROMAN NVMERALS, Deer, has just been released. The two discuss working together from both sides of the table: design, production, economics, and publishing among peers in their immediate community.

Art of the Photobook
Join artist Adrianna Ault for a conversation with former students about the many stages they went through in order to transform an idea into a photobook. Together they will reflect on the creative breakthroughs, revisions, and production choices that shaped their books from conception to completed book dummy. Art of the Photobook is a 15-week course at CPW taught by Adrianna Ault, and books created during the spring course is on view at CPW’s Community Gallery through August 9.

Books as Cultural Catalysts
A conversation between Kris Graves (KGP) and Caleb Cain Marcus (Luminosity Lab) on how their partnerships with museums and galleries have used the power of books to document and amplify cultural movements. Drawing on collaborations with curators and artists, they explore the intersection of scholarly argument, art, and the philosophy of design to produce books that build legacies for artists and cultural institutions.
