CPW Audience Perception Survey
The Center for Photography at Woodstock (CPW) is currently undergoing a strategic planning process. The goals of this process are to ensure a successful, sustainable future for the institution while serving our stakeholders and general public.
Founded in 1977, CPW has grown into a beloved institution renowned for its community programs such as its artist-in-residence program, Woodstock AIR, which has nurtured a multitude of photographic talents. In 2021, CPW moved from its former home in Woodstock, NY, to 474 Broadway in Kingston, NY. A key inducement behind this move to Kingston was the desire to serve more artists and partner with like-minded cultural institutions. CPW aims to meet the needs of emerging artistic voices and to effect social change through innovative public events, engaging social media, stimulating courses and workshops, and provocative exhibitions and publications. CPW recently purchased a historic 40,000-square-foot former cigar factory at 25 Dederick Street in Kingston, NY. In its new building, CPW aims to create a model for a community-based, artist-oriented photography and visual art organization.
CPW would like to understand your needs and vision to help inform the organization’s future directions. Your ideas and perspective are critical elements of this process and will help CPW determine how best to serve its current and future audiences, members, and communities.
